Red Peacock Gota Patti Toran — Embroidered Bandhanwar for Festive Doors
Some torans decorate a door. This one dresses it. On a deep auspicious red band, proud peacocks in cobalt blue and gold stand among flowering vines, paisleys, and sequined blooms — each motif worked in shimmering gota patti ribbon and zari embroidery, a celebrated Rajasthani craft traditionally worn and displayed for weddings and festivals. Below the scalloped edge, rings of lustrous faux pearls form floral medallions, alternating with tassels of red beads and pearls for color, movement, and that soft festive shimmer when the door opens.
The peacock — beloved in Indian art and associated with grace, beauty, and Lord Krishna — makes this bandhanwar especially meaningful for Krishna devotees, Janmashtami and pooja spaces, and anyone who wants their doorway to feel like a blessing. In bridal red and gold, it is as at home over a wedding entrance as it is over your front door at Diwali.
Why You’ll Love It
- Statement craftsmanship — dense peacock, paisley, and floral embroidery with sequin and bead highlights; the close-up photos show the true richness.
- Complete, finished edge — pearl triple-loop medallions and red bead tassels are part of the design, framing the doorway without extra purchases.
- Auspicious red & gold palette — the classic colours of prosperity and celebration; stunning with brass diyas, marigolds, and gold Diwali decor.
- Reusable heirloom decor — made for Diwali every year, plus weddings, Griha Pravesh, Navratri, and Teej — not single-season plastic.
- Photographs beautifully — a ready-made backdrop for family Diwali photos, wedding entrances, and festive reels.

Size & Fit Guide
| Measurement | Size |
|---|---|
| Overall span | Approx. 39 in / 99 cm |
| Drop | Approx. 8 in / 20 cm |
| Best fit | Most standard 32–36″ doors; measure your frame first |
How to measure: measure across the outside of the door frame where the loops will sit. As a valance-style bandhanwar, it hangs straight across the top of the frame — it does not include long side hangings. The styled photos show it flat for detail; hung, the pearl loops and tassels fall below the 8″ band.

How to Hang (3 Steps)
- Hold the toran across the top of your door frame and mark level points for the end loops (and centre loop, for extra support on wider frames).
- Fix small hooks, screws, or frame nails, slip the loops over, and centre the band.
- Arrange the pearl medallions and tassels evenly, step back, and adjust. Ensure the embroidered front faces outward and the band hangs without twisting.
Care & Storage
Embroidered gota and zari work should never be washed or soaked. Shake gently or dust with a soft, dry brush/cloth; spot-clean only if essential and allow to dry fully away from sunlight. Do not iron directly on embroidery. Store rolled (embroidered side out) in soft cotton/muslin in a dry place — folding sharply can crease ribbon work. Kept this way, it will return Diwali after Diwali.
