Ganesha Toran with Shubh Labh – Bandhanwar for Festive Doors
A doorway dressed for celebration
Light, caught and scattered at your entrance. At 40″ × 7″, this radiant golden bandhanwar toran is made to hang across your main door, pooja room, or haldi/wedding backdrop — for Diwali, housewarming, and celebrations all year.
Handcrafted details you can see
Each toran is hand-embroidered on an antique gold / champagne base with scalloped gold lace along the edges. The design unfolds in repeating motifs:
- Shubh Labh medallions — two circular emblems embroidered in red thread on a gold field, each haloed by a ring of ivory faux pearls. Shubh (auspiciousness) and Labh (prosperity) are the traditional blessings invoked at Diwali and on new beginnings.
- Ganesha motif — an embroidered Lord Ganesha in orange and green, the remover of obstacles, placed at the heart of the piece.
- Fabric roses — lush pink and white fabric roses scattered along the band, accented with tiny clear crystals that catch the light.
- Gold elephants — embroidered elephant figures between the blooms, a symbol of wisdom and good fortune.
- Pearl tassels (latkans) — ivory faux-pearl drops hanging at regular intervals from a gold beaded cap, adding gentle movement.
Styled for the occasion
The main image shows it hung above a console with a lit brass diya, a vase of roses, and a framed deity print — ready for a festive entryway. The detail shot shows it presented in a cream gift box with a gold satin ribbon, alongside a diya, scattered rose petals, and Indian sweets, making it gift-ready for Griha Pravesh, weddings, or Diwali gifting.

How to hang (3 steps)
- Hold the toran across the top of your door frame and mark level points for the end rings (and centre ring, for extra support on wider frames).
- Fix small hooks, screws, or frame nails, slip the rings over, and centre the band.
- Arrange the fringe and tassels evenly, step back, and adjust. Ensure the embroidered front faces outward and the band hangs without twisting.
Care & storage
Real glass mirror and zari work should never be washed or soaked. Handle gently — mirrors can crack if the band is folded sharply or dropped. Shake gently or dust with a soft, dry brush/cloth; spot-clean only if essential and allow to dry fully away from sunlight and moisture, which can dull mirror backing. Do not iron directly on embroidery or mirrors. Untangle tassels gently with fingers, never by pulling. Store rolled (embroidered side out) in soft cotton/muslin in a dry place — folding sharply can crease lacework and damage mirrors. Kept this way, it will return Diwali after Diwali.

People usually ask
Will 40″ fit my door?
At 40″ (102 cm) across with an 8″ (20 cm) total drop including tassels, it suits most standard 32–36″ doors hung across the outside of the frame. Please measure across the outside of your door frame where the end rings will sit before ordering.
Can I hang it outdoors?
We recommend indoor or covered entryway use only. Keep it dry — rain and humidity can damage zari, beadwork and mirror backing.
How do I hang it?
Slip the rings at both ends (and centre, for support) over small hooks, screws or frame nails fixed level across the top of the frame, centre the band, then arrange the fringe and tassels evenly.
